In every human being is a God-shaped vacuum, a place where no one and nothing can fill apart from God. Everyone longs for a spiritual connection that transcends the body and the soul; physical senses and emotional sensuality. Everyone has a sacrosanct space in them, the merging of divinity and humanity that has nothing to do with the seen or the felt.
This mountain of influence is crucial in revealing men to their true selves, which makes it the most basic pillar of our culture. It, therefore, must come under all sorts of attack. When the church begins to sway from its original role in sharing the good news of Christ with the world and begins to focus on sideshows and firefighting, we begin to crumble as spiritual and social edifices.
We must then safeguard this mountain by prayer and the word in their purest forms. Intercession for the church is paramount in restoring order in congregations and society.
God is the standard for morality. The church must speak up against injustice. In that regard, without passing judgment, we must pray fervently and effectively for each other that we bear the fruits of Grace. Our prayer must shift from personal pursuits to the proliferation of the Kingdom agenda.
Have you prayed for your leaders? Are you a proud supporter of the body of Jesus Christ? Remember, a kingdom divided against itself cannot stand. With your words, actions and thoughts, love the body. The will only know that we are Christ’s disciples if we love one another.
“If disaster comes upon us, the sword, or judgment, or pestilence, or famine, then we will stand before this temple and before You because Your name is in this temple. And we will cry out to You in our distress, and You will hear and deliver” (2 Chr. 20:9)
May the church rise up to function in its authority.
May God raise intercessors to give themselves over to praying for the church.
May bold leaders arise from the church.
May the pure word, prayer, fellowship and witnessing be upheld.
May God keep the church strong against the attacks of the evil one.
May the offices of the Prophets, Apostles, Pastors, Evangelists, and Teachers be honored by all.
May we all become passionate about the advancement of the Kingdom.
May miracles, signs, and wonders follow the teaching of the word of God.
May the church pursue an intimate fellowship with God.
